BASIC ECG INTERPRETATION
What is Basic ECG Interpretation?
An electrocardiogram or ECG, records electrical activity in the heart. An ECG machine records these electrical signals across multiple heart beats and produces an ECG print out that is then in turn interpreted by a healthcare professional.
Our Basic ECG Interpretation course starts with the basics, the structure and function of the heart. Whilst continuing on through various topics, such as “Review of the principles of recording the ECG”, “Recognising dysrhythmias and cardiac muscle pathology” and finally “Communication and documentation”.
We also provide the ECG Recording course, which is suitable for those who are interested in learning about the Electrocardiogram and how it is recorded.
Completing both courses together will increase your skills and knowledge as a healthcare professional.
