SPORT INJURY THERAPY
In this course you will learn Sport Injury Therapy techniques, giving you the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with the more common injuries sustained through sports or training for sports.
Our course starts with “The principles of human body structure and function”, covering topics such as “Skin, muscles, bones, and joints”, “Blood and lymphatic circulation” right through to the “Principles of sport injury management”.
By completing this course, you will have a substantial understanding of the possible injury’s related to sports/training and the therapy techniques involved in treating them.
Due to the practical nature of the course it is limited in attendance to 12 people at any one time.
The course is open to anyone interested in acquiring or requiring training in the recognition, assessment and management of the person presenting with the more common injuries acquired through participation in sport and/or training.
No previous knowledge, training or experience is required.
This is a useful complimentary course to the Sport Injury First Aid course.
Continuous assessments will be used to assess the participant’s progress throughout the course.
A Certificate of attendance will be issued on successful completion of the course.
